Academic distinction

Two postgraduate qualifications. One clinical purpose.

Few aesthetics practitioners in Scotland hold a single postgraduate degree. Pompi holds two — an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis and an MBA — both from the University of Strathclyde, one of Scotland's leading research universities.

The combination is not incidental. The MSc gives Pompi the deep pharmacological and biochemical understanding to assess treatments at a molecular level — understanding how polynucleotides stimulate fibroblast proliferation, how hyaluronic acid interacts with tissue, how prescription topicals target the melanogenesis pathway. The MBA gives her the business and governance framework to run a clinical practice to the standard patients deserve.

Together they produce a practitioner who can think rigorously about the science of every treatment, explain it clearly to every patient, and build a practice around it that is sustainable, ethical and patient-first.

What it means for you

What Pompi can do that most aesthetics practitioners cannot.

As a GPhC-registered pharmacist independent prescriber, Pompi holds the same legal prescribing authority as a GP or dentist. This changes what is clinically possible at every appointment — from first consultation to post-treatment care.

01

Prescribe alongside treatment — no GP referral needed

Botulinum toxin, topical retinoids, tranexamic acid, weight loss injections — all prescription-only medicines. Pompi can prescribe all of them independently. No GP letter. No third-party prescription. No delay.

Independent prescribing
02

Full medication review before every treatment

As a pharmacist, Pompi reviews every patient's current medications before any aesthetic treatment. Blood thinners, immunosuppressants, antidepressants — all interact with aesthetic treatments in ways most injectors cannot assess. Pompi can.

Medication review
03

Manage complications on the spot

If a filler complication arises — vascular occlusion, for example — Pompi can prescribe and administer hyaluronidase immediately. A non-prescriber must refer the patient. That difference is measured in minutes. Minutes that matter.

Clinical safety
04

Prescription topicals as part of your treatment plan

For patients with melasma, post-acne pigmentation or conditions that respond to prescription-grade creams, Pompi can prescribe retinoids, tranexamic acid and compounded formulations directly — extending results beyond what any treatment alone can achieve.

The clinical journey

From NHS pharmacy to Scotland's first Enlighten SR clinic.

Pompi's clinical career began at the University of Brighton where she completed her pharmacy degree, before moving to the University of Strathclyde for two postgraduate qualifications — her MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis and her MBA. She then qualified as an Independent Prescriber at Robert Gordon University, gaining the full prescribing authority that defines her clinical practice today.

Over more than a decade in community pharmacy and hospital settings across England and Scotland — including clinical work at Girvan Community Hospital — Pompi built the kind of patient-facing clinical judgement that no weekend aesthetic course can replicate. The ability to hold a patient's full medical picture, spot an interaction, manage a complex medication list and make a sound prescribing decision comes from years of doing it, not from completing a checklist.

Her aesthetic training was built exclusively through medic-only channels — the Derma Institute London, where she specialised in dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments, polynucleotides, and Teoxane skin boosters — and through direct Cutera certification, trained by the device manufacturer on the Enlighten SR, Laser Genesis, NdYAG and LimeLight IPL platforms.

What drives Pompi every day.

⚠ Client content needed — ask Pompi

Placeholder for Pompi's personal mission statement. Suggested questions to ask her:

• Why did you move from NHS pharmacy into aesthetics?
• What does "patient-first" mean to you as a practitioner — not the marketing version, the real version?
• What does a great appointment look like to you?
• What do you want MediGlow patients to feel when they leave the clinic?
• What made you decide to hold two postgraduate qualifications?

Aim for 3–5 sentences in her own voice. First person. Warm but clinical. Not corporate language.
