The needles used are very fine and most patients describe the sensation as a mild pinch rather than pain. The whole treatment typically takes under fifteen minutes. No numbing cream is required for most patients, though we can apply it if you are particularly sensitive to injections.
Yes. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine and under UK law must be prescribed and administered by a registered healthcare professional. Lalit and Pompi are both GPhC-registered pharmacist independent prescribers, which means they can legally assess, prescribe and administer anti-wrinkle treatments without needing a separate prescription from a GP. This is the same prescribing authority held by a doctor, and is a higher level of clinical oversight than many aesthetic clinics provide.
Anti-wrinkle injections (commonly called Botox) relax the muscles that cause expression lines, reducing dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet. Dermal fillers add volume or structure to areas that have lost fullness, such as the lips, cheeks and under the eyes. The two treatments address different concerns and are often combined as part of the same treatment plan. Anti-wrinkle injections cannot be administered on the day of your first consultation — this is a clinical standard we maintain for patient safety.
